This Tuesday, our students attended an SAT lecture followed by a tour of Tufts University. The students were eager to learn about the traditions and environment of the university and what it could offer them. Later that night in class, the students learned how to write personal essays for the college application process.
Wednesday morning’s SAT class, followed by a writing class, was very informative. Afterwards the students were provided with the option to bike ride along the Charles River during their free time, but opted to explore the city on their own. So the staff bonded over ice cream!
On Thursday, the students took a SAT practice test to benchmark how much their scores have improved since Monday. (They’re already making great progress!) In the afternoon, we visited Boston University and walked the campus along Commonwealth Avenue, learning about academics and student life at one of Boston’s most popular universities. Thursday night’s writing class involved the students working diligently on preparing and peer editing their college essays, followed by homework time that evening.
Friday’s classes included a demonstration of the common application process and how to build an impressive activities resume. That evening, some went to enjoy Shakespeare in the Park while others further explored the historic city.
