…and all of my two-week friends are leaving tomorrow, so today I spent as much time with them as I could. I ate breakfast with them in the residence and then proceeded to class. We are finally learning some completely new content during class. I have gained a lot of confidence in my speaking my arrival in Nice. Our class ended a little bit early today so we went to grab a coffee at our favorite cafe. The caffeine was a nice wake up before lunch and it was enough to keep going for the day. Lunch was good today but I was most excited to go parasailing. The program took a train to another beautiful beach and we each got to go parasailing above the clear blue water. When we got back everyone got to go to a discotheque for the night. We sang karaoke and danced until midnight. It was a great way to end the trip with all of the students that are leaving tomorrow
The day has come for some of my really good friends to go. We said our goodbyes in the morning, but it was a bittersweet moment. I am really glad that I had the opportunity to meet such amazing people on the trip. Our classes were shortened for half an hour, and my professor took us to a cafe for class. It was a relaxing day and the coffee helped all of us shake off the bit of sadness that lingered among us. The group took a train to a new beach today and it was really pretty. There was castles on the hills, walls lined with vines, and blue-green water. I took a nap in the sun and got smoothies with some friends. This was the prettiest beach we have been to so far. When we got back there were fajitas waiting to be eaten. Although the dining room was a little emptier today the food was still as good as always. After dinner, I did my laundry and tidied up my room a bit. I ended up going to bed earlier tonight so I could have plenty of energy to meet the new kids tomorrow.
…which means the new group of kids is coming! I am really excited to meet all the new faces and I know they’re going to have a great time. We started the day out with the usual class but everyone anxious to meet the new arrivals. Some of the kids stopped by and said hello while we were studying. By the time class had ended most of the students were here. A friend and I went to all of the kids on our floor and introduced ourselves. Everyone seemed super fun and I am pleased to see what the next two weeks will bring. The group took a trip to the other side of town and I had fun exploring some unfamiliar territory. We stopped for gelato which is always a nice treat. After that little adventure, we officially met up with the new students. I made plans to show some of them around town tonight and I am really excited. There is a pasta bar for dinner which will definitely be good. I am looking forward to getting to know all of the new kids well tonight, it should be a lot of fun!
